Music Summer School 2008

Theme: Celebrating Our Heritage

The Wesley Annual Summer School will be held in Abaco, July 4 – July 11, 2008.

The purpose of the summer school is to provide young people with an interest in music:

·                an opportunity to interact with other young persons and skilled musicians;

·                an experience which will foster the development of their skills;

·                a greater appreciation of the cultural expressions of the Bahamas.

Activities will included: Devotions, Music instruction (practical & theory), Recreational activities, and public performance by the combined band.

In addition to the Summer School, there was a camp for members of the Wesley College Band (Abaco), and Wesley Church Band (Nassau).
